As 2022 begins, it's good to take a moment to reflect and set some goals for ourselves. Let's hear some of EKI's thoughts and ambitions for the coming year!
1. NHL World Championship
“Second World Championship is my number one goal.”
After winning it in 2018 and coming very close in 2019 by placing 4th in the World Championship Finals, EKI is eager to score the title once again. Unfortunately, the NHL Gaming World Championship has been on “pause” since 2019 due to the COVID situation and travel restrictions. During this pause, the NHL GWC has been localized to regional tournaments in EU and NA. Although he suffered an early defeat in the 2020 European Play-In, EKI came back strong in 2021 and claimed back his crown as the best in Europe.
Both us and EKI look forward to seeing him lift his second World Championship trophy!
2. ConsistENCE
“I need to find the consistency again, consistently just play at my highest level.”
The hardest part of any pro player’s career is keeping their level consistently high. It’s no surprise that EKI aims to keep his level at the top in every tournament this year!

3. Content
“Keep the YouTube going, keep the streams going. Improve my videos, my content, all the time.”

4. Health
“Last year was the toughest year of my life, I believe, health-wise … Nothing too serious but anyways, just want to get 100% healthy.”
These past years have been hard for many of us regarding our health. We are happy our players prioritize their own well-being and wish EKI the best of luck, and hope 2022 will be healthier and happier than ever!
