ENCE PUBG heading to South-Korea for PGI.S

It’s finally time to open up the LAN season after almost 11 months of Online events! The PUBG boys are the first of our teams to get back into action, traveling to non-other than the esports mecca of Seoul, South-Korea!

PUBG Global Invitational.S is a massive 32-team invitational tournament that gathers all the top talent from across the world to compete for a total prize pool of $3,500,000. We took a second to ask the team about their thoughts before heading out on their trip.

“We’re feeling great. It’s been a long while since the last LAN tournament! It’s great also to have Asian teams in the mix since we haven’t gotten the chance to play against them yet with our current line-up.”

Today, the team has begun its long journey to the destination and will enter a quarantine upon arrival. The quarantine period will last for the required two weeks, after which the PUBG Global Invitational.S 2021 event will start at the beginning of February.

“We’ll spend two weeks in quarantine, and we’ll get PC setups delivered to us for practice. So, for the most part, our time will be spent playing and trying to get a good feel of the Asian PUBG playstyle.”

Naturally, the boys are excited to at last return to the Offline playing fields. As the LAN setting spices up the atmosphere, they expect to boost both performance and motivation.

“We’re feeling great. It’s been a long while since the last LAN tournament! It’s great also to have Asian teams in the mix since we haven’t gotten the chance to play against them yet with our current line-up.”

It will be a new and unique experience for the team, as only Skuijke and Tiikzu had visited Korea before when they participated in PUBG Nations Cup back in 2019. Even if social distancing and the pandemic will put a damper on the travel, the change of scenery, cuisine, and culture will be thrilling.

Stay tuned, as we’ll be posting updates about the PUBG Korea adventures in the near future!
