With his contract ending, ENCE Academy bids farewells to Henri "HENU" Ylilehto.
As HENU’s contract comes to a close at the end of June, we have mutually agreed to part ways. Being with us since the roster’s inception, we want to give our biggest thanks to HENU for his time at the ENCE Academy.
“I’m thankful for this opportunity ENCE gave me, and I want to thank everyone I've worked with over the past two years.”
- Henri "HENU" Ylilehto
In these two years, HENU has been an ever-reliable teammate with his calmness, positivity, and great adaptability. Our shared journey holds many memorable moments and tournaments, including LAN events such as Elisa Masters Espoo and MistGames Heroes of Lofoten. In 2024, HENU and the team also managed to claim the long-awaited LAN championship at Assembly Winter 2024.
ENCE Academy coach, George "Whitey" White, shares his warm thoughts about HENU: “These moments never get easier for me as a coach. The Academy Program was set out to push our players into the next steps of their careers, so I know deep down I can’t be with them forever, but it still hurts when you build such a good bond with the players.
I feel HENU has surpassed the ENCE Academy program, and I think he can really start to take off elsewhere with more senior players surrounding him. I will never forget how smart HENU is. He is always one step ahead of the game and his overall thinking and analysis are something any young aspiring player would look up to.
Henri, you are a one-of-a-kind player from Finland – you are young and so talented, and I feel it won’t be long before we face you in a future team. I wish you nothing but the best in the future and as always, I made a friend for life.”
The new Academy roster players will be announced in the near future.
