ENCE vs Lyngby Vikings

02.02.2021 17:00
(EEST, Helsinki, Finland)

Another victory puts us in a comfortable position on the Swiss Stage, as only one more win is needed to advance to the Playoffs!

Vertigo L 14-16 (Lyngby Vikings' pick)

Some ENCE fans might have had to rub their eyes when Vertigo was picked, an all-time first for the team. This proves the new blood and leadership has led to exploring new areas and stepping out of the comfort zones. Certainly, this is a positive change to see, as our habits had been quite formed and rigid in the past. allu's performance on the map wasn't up to his usual standard, but it's understandable considering it was his first official game on the map.

We have a tough start on the CT side, but we start finding our groove as the team warms up. The half remains uneventful, but Snappi's and Spinx's experience on Vertigo plays a large role.

We are in dire straits as we enter the T side after losing both pistol rounds. But as the Vikings get stuck with bad buys, we take rounds with more ease and start catching up and taking the lead. Snappi is well in charge of the team tactically and with frags - but despite his efforts, we lose with a close 14-16.

Dust2 W 16-13 (ENCE's pick)

Dycha makes a difference on Dust2 with 130 ADR throughout the map, getting us to the ace match!

Dust2 T side — more like the ENCE comfort zone! The whole team shows up, gaining a solid lead from the start. Dycha shines brighter than others and brims with confidence in his plays.

Once again, we get a pistol win, but things begin to roll downhill after that. The score is too close to comfort all the way till the end, but the thriller ends with a few-round-long win streak, and we close out the match!

Nuke W 16-12 (Decider)

WARNING: map contains many multikills and clutches. Anyone faint of heart is advised to look away (Entertainment value is through the roof, though)!

We grab a great 6-0 lead at the start, and dycha-the-machine's engines keep rolling! But the half doesn't end on a high, as the Vikings end up tieing it up to 8-7.

On the CT side, dycha continues to be the star. Small difficulties happen once in a while, but in the end, we got it in the bag in the end!
